Torrent Power sizzles; stock up by 4.99%

While power stock electrifies on bourses, Torrent power is up by 4.99 per cent, Crompton Greaves up by 3.59 per cent, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is up by 3.37 per cent, ASEA Brown Boveri (ABB) is up by 3.30 per cent and Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) is up by 1.82 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

While, heavyweight National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and BHEL are contributing 52 per cent to the index gains.
Whereas, other stock in the index are trading in red, Reliance Power is up by 1.18 per cent, Reliance Infrastructure is down by 1.17 per cent, Adani Power is down by 1.07 per cent, GM Infra is down by 0.84 per cent and Suzlon is down by 0.63 per cent.
Among the index constituents, there are a total of 10 advances and 4 declines. The index is inching close to its 52-week high of 2,224.84 level.
