Metal index trade in red; follows market trend

The BSE Metal index is following the trend of the broader markets and is trading in red. Tata Steel and Vedanta Steel put together are contributing almost 57 per cent to the index losses and dragging the index down.

Meanwhile, SAIL is down by 3.95 per cent, Hindustan Zinc is down by 2.79 per cent, Tata Steel is down by 2.72 per cent, Vedanta Steel is down by 2.55 per cent, National Aluminium is down by 2.22 per cent and Hindalco is down by 1.74 per cent.

Whereas, Jindal Steel is the only stock to trade in green. The stock is up by 1.08 per cent. 

Among all the index constituents, there is 1 advance and 9 declines.
