NSE reshuffle indices; IDEA, BHEL moves out

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Idea Cellular are planning to move out of NSE's Nifty 50 index from March 31. These two will be replaced with Indiabulls Housing Finance and India Oil Corporation.

India Index Services & Products Ltd. (IISL), an arm of the NSE, announced the changes that will come into effect from March 31, 2017. The Exchange has also made changes in Nifty Next 50, Nifty Smallcap 250, Nifty Midcacp 50, Nifty 100 and Nifty 500. The changes have been made in indices of metal, private bank, media, bank and other commodities.
ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, Petronet LNG and Rural Electrification Corporation will be included in the Nifty 100 index, whereas, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises, Bharat Forge and Castrol India will move out of the index.
The twenty-five companies of Nifty 500 index, including Alok Industries, Future Lifestyle and JSW Holdings are being replaced with Dilip Buildcon, Endurance Tech, Future Retail and Mahanagar Gas.
