What until now was been largely ignored by the media was the immense contribution made by India's very own L&T in supplying vital components for the record breaking ISRO mission, without which the agency wouldn’t have been in the record books.

With the launch of ISRO’s record mission of launching 104 satellites at one go, India became the only nation to have achieved this milestone, where L&T played the critical role of supplying components like motor casings, honeycomb deck panels, deep space network antenna and a first of kind bull gear in India.

L&T via its Aerospace Business Unit have been at the forefront of making contributions towards the space research and especially helping ISRO indigenously source components for its missions from within the country rather than relying on foreign space component makers.

Similarly, L&T made its mark on country’s maiden Mars mission by providing ISRO with launch and tracking equipment. Engineering major has been one of the largest private- sector supplier to the space programmes in the country.

The company headquartered in Mumbai has been a reliable supplier for the space organisation and is making a name for itself globally of quality equipment provider at a low cost making a desired proposition of the research agencies.
