The retirement fund body i.e employees' provident fund organisation (EPFO), in an attempt to ease withdrawal from the PF account, has convened its subscribers to withdraw money without filing documents like the wedding cards for taking advances.
In the spree to do away with the elongated process of filling certificates, EPFO has also introduced the submission of a self-utilisation certificate replacing various afore prescribed certificates.
The different forms for advances and withdrawals have been further simplified and replaced with a one-page composite claim form, which does not require attestation from employers for Aadhaar card holders, but at the same time requires attestation for those who do not own Aadhaar card, for form no-19 (UAN), 10-C (UAN), 31 (UAN).
These forms include advances for marriage or post-matriculation education of children or the advances in abnormal conditions. However, in the case of partial withdrawals, submission of composite claim form (Aadhaar) or composite claim form (non-Aadhaar) signed by the EPF subscriber, will be reckoned as self-certification and no further documents will be required.
