India News-MRC Exit Poll predicts BJP to win 185 seats out of 403 in UP and SP-Congress alliance ending up securing just 120 seats, trailing much behind of BJP. Times Now-VMR Exit Poll predicts a clear victory for BJP in UP by giving it 200 odd seats. The Exit Poll also has predicted SP-Cong alliance getting 110-130 seats and has given BSP just 57-74 seats. The India News-MRC Exit Poll has given 90 seats of Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party and eight seats to other political outfits.
For Punjab, India News-MRC Exit Poll predicted 55 seats to go to AAP and 55 more to Congress. It has predicted ruling SAD-BJP's victory in only 07 seats thus bringing in much depression in Punjab unit of BJP. However, BJP may have some reasons to cheer from Uttarakhand where the Exit Poll has predicted its victory over Congress. For Uttarakhand, BJP may secure 38 seats, Congress 30 seats among 70 seats.
However, according to India Today-Axis Exit Poll, AAP may secure 42-51 seats, Congress may lead over other political outfits by securing 62-71 seats while AAP may end up getting 42-51 seats thus being the main party in Opposition in Punjab state legislative assembly.
