Vistara announces code share with Singapore airlines & SilkAir

One of the finest airlines in India, Air Vistara on Tuesday announced code sharing arrangement with Singapore Airlines and also SilkAir.

One of the finest airlines in India, Air Vistara on Tuesday announced code sharing arrangement with Singapore Airlines and also SilkAir.

Following an agreement between SilkAir and Singapore Airlines, the airlines will codeshare on domestic flights operated  in India by Vistara from March 14, 2017 onwards.

In accordance with the agreement signed, Singapore Airlines will add SQ designator code to Vistara operated flights beyond Mumbai and New Delhi to 10 airports. While, SilkAir will also add MI designated codes to Vistara operated flights beyond Bengaluru and Kolkatta to 6 more destinations across the country.  

At present, the Singapore Airlines operates through 15 destinations in India, spanning over to 4 more destinations in the airlines network. The following deal is also likely to benefit the Gurugram based company to widen its customer base through the networks.     

While, as an outcome of the codeshare agreement, the members of the Singapore Airlines and Vistara frequent flyer programme, Club Vistara and KrisFlyer respectively will be able to avail additional tier benefits.
