Berger Paints India continues its plant commission

The share price of Berger Paints India increased 1.75 per cent in an early trade and is trading at Rs 238.45 in an intraday basis. It has given more than 37 per cent returns to shareholders in last one year.
Berger Paints India has commenced commercial production of its paint and putty plant at Nalbari, Assam on 29 March. The plant has a capacity of 6600 KL/MT per annum of solvent and water based paints and 7200 MT per annum of putty and distemper.
On March 28, Berger Paints India has commenced production from its automotive and general paints plant at Jejuri. The company’s plant currently has a capacity of 4800 MT per annum, which will be enhanced to 24000 MT per annum in phases.
On financial front, Berger Paints India’s revenue increased 5.25 per cent to Rs 1175 crore in Q3FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year. The company’s net profit declined 2.02 per cent to Rs 109 crore in Q3FY17 on yearly basis.
