Markets end on a losing note

Indian capital markets corrected on the last day of the week. Markets lost in the last trading hour on the news that post-demonetisation around 18 lakh bank accounts have been found where the amount deposited does not match with the income profile of the account holder.

Markets lost in the last trading hour on the news that post-demonetisation around 18 lakh bank accounts have been found where the amount deposited does not match with the income profile of the account holder. Nifty was not able to hold above the level of 9200.
At the closing bell, Nifty ended at 9198, with loss of 63 points and BSE Sensex closed at 29706, a decline of 220 points. On the NSE, 14 shares closed in the green, while 37 shares ended the day in the red.
All indices closed in the red, except Capital Goods and Oil & Gas. Bankex dropped 236 points, Healthcare reduced 220 points, Metals declined 149 points. Auto decreased 87 points. However, Capital Goods and Oil & Gas increased 16 points and 67 points, respectively. Mid-cap index decreased 43 points while Small-cap reduced 69 points.
Asian markets traded mixed on Friday. Shanghai increased 0.17 per cent, Hang Seng decreased 0.03 per cent, Nikkei rose 0.36 per cent. European markets were trading mixed.
Derivative Analysis
Nifty Future closed in the negative at 9217. Going ahead, 9276/9179 will be the immediate support levels.
