Bulls return on Dalal Street

Indian capital markets traded positive on Tuesday and extended gains at the end of the trading session. Nifty was able to hold above the level of 9200.

Indian capital markets traded positive on Tuesday and extended gains at the end of the trading session. Nifty was able to hold above the level of 9200.

At the closing bell, Nifty ended at 9237, with a gain of 55 points and BSE Sensex closed at 29788, an increment of 212 points. On the NSE, 31 shares closed in the green, while 20 shares ended the day in the red.

All indices closed in the green, except Metals. Bankex, Capital Goods increased more than 200 points each. Consumer Durables and FMCG rose more than 10 points each. Metals dropped 186 points. Mid-cap index increased 56 points and Small-cap rose 148 points.

Asian markets traded mixed on Tuesday. Shanghai increased 0.60 per cent, Hang Seng also reduced 0.72 per cent. Nikkei also declined 0.27 per cent. European markets were trading mixed.

Derivative Analysis

Nifty Future closed in the negative at 9267. Going ahead, 9293/9225 will be the immediate support levels.
