TVS Motors Company: Q4FY17 result

During FY2016-17, with total sales of 29.27 lakh units for the period, the company’s total revenue grew by 9.6% to Rs.13363.43 crore.
The auto major, TVS Motor Company Ltd., reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 today.
The company reported total sales of Rs 2844.5 crore for Q3FY17, which represent a 4.66 per cent sequential decline and 1.69 per cent YoY increase.
The company's motorcycle sales during the quarter stood at 2.15 lakh units as against 2.47 lakh units in Q4FY16. Scooter sales increased from 1.98 lakh units in Q4FY16 to 2.23 lakh units in the Q4FY17.
Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter came in at Rs 84.06 crore and its EBIT margin stood at 2.96 per cent.
The company reported PAT of Rs 126.77 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ decline of 4.45 per cent and a YoY decline of 6.81 per cent.

The company has commenced manufacturing BS-IV emission compliant vehicles from January 2017.
