VA Tech Wabag announces expansion plan in Africa, Latin America

On Monday, VA Tech Wabag hit a new 52-week high value of Rs 746.10, after company informed about its expansion plan in Africa & Latin America.

Rajneesh Chopra, global head-business development, while speaking to a leading news channel, said "The company is extending its reach to sub-Saharan Africa and strategy is to focus on key emerging markets such as Latin America that will contribute 10% to total revenue over next 2-3 years".
 
The company has received first project in Latin America. The company also expects robust business due to Namami Gange project over next 12-18 months, reported a national news portal.
 
Meanwhile, at Rs 739.55 per share at 1412 hours IST on BSE, VA Tech Wabag was trading higher by 3.7%. It hit a high of Rs 746.10 and a low of Rs 708.50 so far during the day.
