Bajaj Auto, KTM to join hands to globally rollout Husqvarna motorcycles in 2018

Bajaj Auto said that the company was celebrating 10 years of its partnership with KTM by rolling out Husqvarna motorcycles globally in 2018.

In order to globally roll out the Husqvarna motorcycles in 2018, Pune-based producer of motorcycles and commercial vehicles, Bajaj Auto and KTM have joined hands. KTM is Europe’s biggest motorcycle producer based in Austria.
 
In its regulatory filing, Bajaj Auto said that the company was celebrating 10 years of its partnership with KTM by rolling out Husqvarna motorcycles globally in 2018.
 
Husqvarna Motorcycles is the world’s second oldest motorcycle brand for which KTM has secured a long-term license agreement in the year 2013. After its new positioning, the volumes have gone up sharply to an all-time high with over 30,000 units sold in 2016.

The product line includes DUKE 125-390 and RC 125-390 and are produced in Bajaj’s production facility in Chakan, India and are distributed by the two partners globally.
 
The company also increased forecasts for KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles produced in India, from expected 1,00,000 in 2017 to over 2,00,000 units in the next years.
