The bourses in Europe were slightly higher, taking cues from other global markets after a stronger-than-expected jobs’ report in the US. The pan-European Stoxx 600 was 0.06% higher with most sectors and major bourses moving in different directions.

The FTSE 100 index was trading at the 7,523 level, up by 11.31 points; CAC 40 index was at the 5,208 level, up by 4.87 points; while the German DAX was at the 12,306 level, up by 8.31 points.
Oil prices, struggling ahead of the OPEC meeting, edged lower on Monday morning but were still at a nine-week high. With the earnings’ season mostly over, investors will be watching out for new data reports.
The Swiss National Bank is set to publish foreign exchange reserves and announce inflation numbers after 8 am London time. The UK’s Halifax house price index for July is due at 8.30 am London time.
