BSE Realty index loses over 2%

Continuing its losing streak from Tuesday’s trading session, the S&P BSE Realty index was lagging in the early morning trade on Wednesday as well, declining over 2%.
Continuing its losing streak from Tuesday’s trading session, the S&P BSE Realty index was lagging in the early morning trade on Wednesday as well, declining over 2%.
The index was trading at the 2,060.42 level, down by 43.91 points or 2.16% as at 0932 hours. Housing Development and Infrastructure was the top loser and was trading down by 13.75% at Rs 48.60 per share. HDIL was also contributing most to the index losses. The stock traded on a new 52-week low value of Rs 45.10. It had breached the lower circuit at Rs 58.95 during Tuesday’s trade.
Among other realty stocks, Unitech was trading down by 4.96% at Rs 7.66 per share, Indiabulls Real Estate was down 1.81% at Rs 248.85, Sobha was down by 1.05% at Rs 373.90, Oberoi Realty was down 1.64% at Rs 371.70 and Godrej Properties was down 1.21% at Rs 497. Phoenix Mills was down 0.63% at Rs 507.55 and Omaxe Ltd. was down 0.15% at Rs 202.10 as at 0938 hours on Wednesday, on the BSE.
