Mahanagar gas comes up with impressive quarter

Mahanagar Gas Ltd. reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2017 today. Total sales for this quarter, Q1FY18, came in at Rs. 582.85 crore. This represents a 1.12 per cent sequential increase and 9.06 per cent YoY increase.

Total sales for this quarter, Q1FY18, came in at Rs. 582.85 crore. This represents a 1.12 per cent sequential increase and 9.06 per cent YoY increase.
 
Operating profit (EBIT) for the recently concluded quarter amounted to Rs. 203.26 crore and the EBIT margin stood at 34.87 per cent.
 
In terms of the bottom-line, the company reported a PAT figure of Rs. 124.33 crore which represents a sequential QoQ increase of 24.99 per cent and a YoY increase of 34.08 per cent.
 
Mahanagar Gas Limited is a city gas distribution company. The company is engaged in the distribution of compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) in Mumbai and its adjoining areas and in the Raigad district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It also supplies CNG for vehicles, including rickshaws, taxis and cars in Mumbai, Thane, Mira-Bhayander and Navi Mumbai.
