PM to flag off road projects in Rajasthan today

On his visit to Rajasthan today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several major highway projects.
On his visit to Rajasthan today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several major highway projects. The total outlay on these projects is estimated to be over Rs 15,000 crore, said a government release on Monday.
These projects include the six-lane cable stayed bridge across river Chambal at Kota; four-laning of the Gomati Chauraha-Udaipur section of NH-8; and four-laning of the Rajsamand-Bhilwara section of NH-758. Among the important projects for which the foundation stone will be laid is the Jaipur Ring Road. He will also address a public meeting in Udaipur.
The road ministry, in a press statement, said that around 109 projects over 3,000 km are being funded by the road transport ministry and public sector undertaking National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). The projects include widening and improvement of national highways in the state.
