BSE Realty shows good promise

With almost all the realty stocks trading in the green, the S&P BSE Realty index increased by over 1% intraday on Wednesday.
With almost all the realty stocks trading in the green, the S&P BSE Realty index increased by over 1% intraday on Wednesday. It was trading higher by 1.34% at the 2,107.61 level, on the BSE at 1035 hours. Indiabulls Real Estate was contributing majorly to the BSE Realty index gains, trading up by 2.27% at Rs 229.70 per share.
Among others, Oberoi Realty, Prestige, HDIL, Unitech and Sobha were contributing more than 2 points to the index gains. HDIL was the top gainer in the index, trading higher by 2.74% at Rs 61 per share. Among others, Oberoi Realty was trading up by 2.59% at Rs 379 per share, Sobha was trading up by 2.20% at Rs 385 per share, Unitech was trading up by 2.18% at Rs 7.51 per share and Prestige was also trading up by 1.65% at Rs 267 per share. Godrej Properties, DLF and Omaxe were trading flat.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index, Sensex was trading up by 220 points at 31,606.04 and Nifty was trading up by 76 points at 9,872.
