Buzzing stock: HFCL hits upper circuit for two consecutive days

Grantham Mayo Van Otterloo (GMO), an emerging markets quality fund has bought more than 10 million shares of Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd. (HFCL). This has led the stock to hit the upper circuit on the second day too.

On Wednesday, the stock opened at Rs 21.45 and surged 10 per cent and closed by hitting the upper circuit level of Rs 25.60. Today, the stock opened at Rs 27.50 and again hit the upper circuit price of Rs 28.15 till the close of the session .

As per the bulk deal order data, 1,10,81,468 shares of HFCL were bought on NSE at Rs 23.92 on Wednesday.

HFCL is a telecom infrastructure enabler whose activities include infrastructure development, system integration, and manufacture and supply of telecom equipment and optic fibre cable (OFC).
