India’s automobile giant Tata Motors posted 5 per cent hike in its total sales in October.
India’s automobile giant Tata Motors posted 5 per cent hike in its total sales in October. The company’s automobile sales for the month stood at 48,886 units. The company had posted a sale of 46,500 units in the same month of the previous year. While the company’s domestic sales of commercial vehicles went up by 7 per cent in October 2017 to 32,411 units as compared to 30,189 units in October 2016.
In the passenger vehicles segment, the domestic sales grew by 1 per cent on an annual basis to 16,475 units in October 2017. However, on the export of front, Tata Motors recorded a 32 per cent decline to 4,311 units in October 2017.
Tata Motors hit an intraday high of Rs. 439.80 per share, higher by nearly 3 per cent and an intraday low of Rs. 428.80 per share on BSE on Wenesday. The stock had hit its 52-week high of Rs. 553 per share on January 25, 2017 and its 52-week low of Rs. 357.95 per share on August 11, 2017 on BSE, respectively. The stock closed at Rs. 436.75 per share, higher by 1.91 per cent on Wednesday on BSE.
