Rocket stocks in the past fortnight

Result season is reaping benefits for the investors with stock prices gaining momentum post results. About 558 stocks have reported their quarterly results for the quarter ended September 2017 till date. We see that out of 558 stocks 48.7% (272 stocks) have reported growth of more than 10% in the profit after tax.

We picked up the top 10 stocks which have reported results and have given the highest returns over the last fortnight. Some stocks like Victory Paper & Boards and Keltech Engines gave more than 40% returns although the net profit showed lacklustre growth.

Sanwaria Consumer too doubled its revenue over the last 12 months leading to more than proportionate increase in its profits. This led the stock to jump by 62% over the last 15 days. HEG Ltd. reported a splendid turnaround in September 2017 after reporting losses since March 2016. The market rewarded the investors by the stock jumping 47% over the last fortnight. Integrated Capital Services too saw 60% increase in net profit on a consolidated basis. Punjab National Bank rose the highest amongst PSU banks on the news of recapitalisation on the expectation of smoothening of provisions going forward.
