Shares of Cupid spikes up by nearly 7 per cent

The early trade on Monday showed a rise of nearly 7 per cent in Cupid shares after the company received an order from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The early trade on Monday showed a rise of nearly 6 per cent in Cupid shares after the company received an order from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The company has for the first time received an order from the UN organization, wherein it will supply female condoms to Malawi, Africa worth Rs. 1.36 crore.

As per the second quarter results, the company's net profit increased up by 11 per cent to Rs. 5.95 crore against Rs. 5.36 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

The company has also announced a first interim dividend of 20 per cent.

At 09:16 hours, the shares were quoting Rs. 265.95, up by Rs. 9.70 or 3.79 per cent and as on 09:52 hours, the shares went up to Rs. 274.05, up by Rs. 17.80, or 6.95 per cent on the BSE.

The share touched its 52-week high of Rs. 364.40 on March 3, 2017 and 52-week low of Rs. 251.05 on November 17, 2017, respectively.

Currently, the share was trading 24.79 per cent below its 52-week high and 9.16 per cent above its 52-week low.
