Timely Advice On Mutual Funds

While going through the last issue (DSIJ Issue 24, dated Nov 7-20, 2011), I noticed a few changes in the magazine. I was really impressed by it, especially the ‘MF Corner’. I think it would help a lot of your readers, since people have started investing in funds rather than directly in stocks.

I wish you all luck for the new moves. Keep the innovations going!

Kudos DSIJ!

The Best 7 MF Schemes (DSIJ Issue 24, dated Nov 7-20, 2011) sparkle like a rainbow, as each provides the hope of colourful returns. The newly-added ‘MF Corner’ section looks very attractive too. A person who wants to know more about Mutual Funds need not search for various websites, s/he can simply buy the DSIJ magazine.

Keep going!

Requesting Information On Pre-Opening Trades

I have been a DSIJ online subscriber for the last 3 years, and have been reading DSIJ since 2004. I would like to congratulate the entire team of DSIJ for doing such a fantastic job. The first thing I like to read in the magazine is ‘From the Editor’, as it always gives an inside
glimpse of the issue.

Coming to your story on ‘Muhurat Buys’ (7 Muhurat Buys, DSIJ Issue 23, dated Oct 24-Nov 6, 2011), I like the way your team has constructed the Rs 10 lakh portfolio. The best part is that you also reviewed last year’s ‘Muhurat Buys’, and let the reader know where exactly the portfolio stands after one year.

Could you please throw some light on the pre-opening session in your coming issue? I have observed that often some of my trades do go through in the pre-opening session, while sometimes they don’t, even though my prices are triggered. Apart from that, I’d like to know why a common investor/trader cannot put in any trade during the pre-opening session. Is it meant only for brokers or for a select set of people? If yes, isn’t this unjustified?

Reply - Thanks for the suggestions. We have planned a story on the pre-opening session trades in our coming issue, and all your queries regarding the same will surely be addressed then. Till then, happy reading!
