Market Remains Flat

Indian markets are trading flat in the afternoon session. At 12:45 PM, Nifty is trading at 5903, up by 1 points and Sensex is trading at 19,480, up by 6 points. Both the indices are trading with gains of 0.02%-0.03%.

The advance-decline ratio, which indicates the health of stands, are weak in the afternoon session. On NSE, 744 shares are trading down and 644 shares are trading up. 

Top 5 Gainers on NSE: Cipla ,Axis bank , Dr Reddys lab extending its morning gains,followed by Hul and hindalco

Top 5 losers on NSE: Idfc is among the top losers on NSE, trading lower by 2.47%, followed by Acc, Hcl tech , Ongc and Bharati Airtel

On the sectoral front, 6 out of 13 sectors are trading firm at this hour of trade. Banking  and Metals are trading up in the range 0.97%-1.35%. Capital goods and It is under a selling pressure in the afternoon trading session, trading lower between 0.57%-1.00%.

Most of the Asian markets are closed for today’s trading session 

Buzzers: IDFC  down about 2.4% and is trading at Rs 158. The stock came under pressure in the afternoon trade

ACC  is trading lower by 2.08% at Rs 1277 The stock opened at Rs 1309 and registered a low of Rs 1275. It has been under a selling pressure.

Nifty has seen a flat trade in the afternoon session. Going ahead, levels of 5880-5870 will be eyed by traders. Below these levels, Nifty may drift down to the levels of 5855.
