The Indian markets saw a sell-off after mid-market. It is continue to made new low on closing and finally closed with heavy loss, Nifty was down by 138 points to close the day at 5985 and Sensex closed at 19760 down by 455 points.

The Indian markets saw a sell-off after mid-market. It is continue to made new low on closing and finally closed with heavy loss, Nifty was down by 138 points to close the day at 5985 and Sensex closed at 19760 down by 455 points. Both the indices ended in red loosing 2.2% and 2.25% respectively.

The advance–decline ratio ended on a negative side at the end of day. On the NSE, 343 shares closed in green, while 1004 shares ended the day in red.

Top 5 Gainers on NSE: Sesa Goa closed the day with a gain of 3.9% as the top gainer on the NSE, followed by Infosys, HCL Tech, Cairn India and Ambuja Cement.

Top 5 Losers on NSE: Ultra Tech Cement ended the day as the top loser on NSE, down by 5.5%, followed by IDFC, Reliance Infra, DLF and Bank Of Baroda.

12 out of the 13 sectors ended in negative note. Only IT sector ended in green with a gain of by 52 points, Bank and Oil & Gas indices are the top losers which were down by 359 points and 240 points respectively.

The Asian markets closed in mix note. Japan’s Nikkei closed in green up by 185 points. Hang Seng ended in red declining by 92 points, while China’s Shanghai Composite ended on a negative note. Straits Times, Taiwan index closed on some positive note.

Buzzers: :- Sterlite is up 2% on the BSE as the National Green Terminal has allowed Sterlite to carry on operation in Tuticorin. The stock closed at Rs 93.60.

Infosys is star of the day. The stock has gained 3.1% on a day when the market has crashed around over 450 points. The stock made high on 2434 and manage to close at Rs 2411.

As we mention if the Nifty hold the 6050 levels, but it could not manage hold the 6050 level and as a result closed below 6000 mark. Which is negative signal for further trading session.
