Markets Crash 200 Points, Nifty Below 5850

The Indian markets opened on a negative note after seeing some sell-off in the previous session. The global markets were seen trading in a negative zone in the morning session. The Nifty opened at 5841 and Sensex was down at 19,316. Both the indices opened down in the range of 0.64%-0.64%.

The advance-decline ratio is on the negative side in the morning session. On the NSE, 358 shares are trading in gains and 974 shares are down.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: HCL Tech is the top NSE gainer so far, up by 2.3%, followed by Hero MotoCorp, Ranbaxy Labs, Kotak Mahindra and Bank of Baroda.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Jindal Steel is the top loser this morning, trading down by 5.7%, followed by ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, M&M and IDFC.
Eleven out of 13 sectors are trading in the red zone. Metals is the top loser trading down by 300 points. Banks and Consumer Durables are also down by 165 points and 131 points respectively. However, IT and Heathcare are the top gainers, up by 35 points and 2 points correspondingly.
On the global front, the Asian shares are trading with a negative sentiment. The Hang Seng market is the top loser for the day, down by 241 points. The Nikkei market is down by 168 points while KOSPI, Shanghai, and Taiwan indices are trading on a negative note.
Buzzers: Jindal Steel opened with some negative sentiment and crashed by 20%. The stock hit a 52-week low at Rs 202.75 to break its stiff support in the morning session at Rs 210. If it breaks this level, we will see a down-move up to Rs 190 for the further trading session.
Nifty broke its strong support at the 5880 level. We may see a move up to the 5810 level for the further trading session.
