Nifty Rises 1%, Reliance Up 2.3%

The Indian markets have opened gap-up in the morning trading session after seeing weak trade yesterday. The global markets were seen trading in a positive zone this morning. The Nifty opened with a positive bias at 5645 and Sensex was up at 18,735. Both the indices opened up in the range of 1.03%-1.01%.

The Indian markets have opened gap-up in the morning trading session after seeing weak trade yesterday. The global markets were seen trading in a positive zone this morning. The Nifty opened with a positive bias of 57 points at 5645 and Sensex was up by 182 points at 18,735. Both the indices opened up in the range of 1.03%-1.01%.

The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side in the morning session. On the NSE, 795 shares are trading in gains and 535 shares are down.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: Bajaj Auto is the top gainer for today’s session, up by 3.5%, followed by UltraTech Cement, ONGC, ACC and Reliance.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: NTPC is the top loser this morning, trading down by 1.2%, followed by JP Associates, Coal India, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors.

On the sectoral front, 12 out of the 13 sectors are trading in the green zone. Oil & Gas is the top gainer, trading up by 195 points. Bankex and Healthcare are also up by 130 points and 114 points. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are also trading on a positive note.

On the global front, the Asian shares are trading with a positive sentiment. The Nikkei market is the top gainer for today’s session, up by 300 points. Hang Seng is up by 179 points. Taiwan and KOSPI are also trading on a positive note.

Buzzers: Bajaj Auto opened with a positive sentiment, up by 3.2%. The stock made a new high at Rs 1871 and broke its support in the morning session at Rs 1845. If it breaks this level, we will see a positive move up to Rs 1895 in the further trading sessions.

A major hurdle for the Nifty is 5660-5685. If it breaks  levels we may see the levels of 5700.
