Nifty Below 5950, ITC Down 4.2%

The India markets continued with selling in the afternoon session. All the global markets were trading in red in the mid-session. The Nifty is trading at 5923 and Sensex is trading down at 19,850. The indices are trading in a negative range of 1.06%-1.11%.
The India markets continued with selling in the afternoon session. All the global markets were trading in red in the mid-session. The Nifty is trading at 5923, down by 66 points and Sensex is trading down by 233 points at 19,850. The indices are trading in a negative range of 1.06%-1.11%.
The advance-decline ratio is on the negative side. On the NSE, 1270 shares are trading in green and 2020 shares are in red.
Top Nifty Gainers: Hero MotoCorp is leading the gainers’ list so far, up by 3.8%, followed by BPCL, Asian Paints, PNB and Tata Motors.
Top Nifty Losers: Ambuja Cement is leading the losers’ list so far, down by 11.1%, followed by JP Associates, Tata Power, ITC and ACC.
On the sectoral front, 12 of the 13 sectors indices are trading in red in the afternoon trading session. FMCG was the top loser, down by 254 points, followed by Capital Goods and Metals, which were down by 109 points and 83 points respectively. Consumer Durables and Oil & Gas were also was down in the range of 45 points. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps were down by 42 points and 45 points correspondingly.
All the Asian markets are trading on a negative note since today morning. Nikkei is the top loser of the day, down by 168 points, followed by Hang Seng, which is down by 67 points. Shanghai Composite and Taiwan Weighted are down in the range of 25 points.
Buzzers: ITC fell by 4.2% after announcing its Q1 numbers. The stock made a low below its supports level at Rs 355. If it breaks the Rs 350 level, we may see selling in the further trading sessions
Nifty made a low at the 5910 level. If it closes below the 5900 level, it continue with the current scenario.
