Mukesh Ambani: The Reliance Industries’ Chairman has topped the list for the second consecutive year. His personal assets stand at USD 18.9 billion, suffering a decline of 2% from the previous year.
L N Mittal: Steel Baron L N Mittal, the CEO of ArcelorMittal, has secured the second position in the list. His personal assets stand at USD 15.9 billion. His wealth has declined by 6% as compared to that last year.
Dilip Shanghvi: Promoter of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Dilip Sanghvi has secured the third position on the list. His wealth has increased by 66% as compared to that in the previous year. The report says that “this rise in stock price was supported by the expected sales of the cancer drug Doxil, following Janssen Pharma Inc.’s admission of shortage of the drug supply”.
Azim Premji: The Chairman of Wipro, Azim Premji stands fourth on the list. Premji has been guiding the company through four decades of diversification and growth to emerge as one of the Indian leaders in the software industry. His personal assets currently stand at USD 12 billion.
Shiv Nadar: Founder and Chairman of HCL, Shiv Nadar set up the company in the mid-1970s and transformed the IT hardware firm into an IT enterprise over the next three decades by constantly reinventing its focus. Nadar stands fifth on the list, with personal assets of USD 8.6 billion.
