Sensex Witnesses Selling Pressure On Closing Buzz.

The Indian markets saw selling pressure after the mid-session. Sectors like FMCG, Banks and Metals dragged indices to lower ends. The Nifty ended, down by 43 points to close at 6101 level, while Sensex ended 113 points lower at 20540.

The Indian markets saw selling pressure after the mid-session. Sectors like FMCG, Banks and Metals dragged indices to lower ends. The Nifty ended, down by 43 points to close at 6101 level, while Sensex ended 113 points lower at 20540. 

The advance-decline ratio was in negative. On the NSE, 1374 shares closed in green, while 1785 shares ended the day in red.

Top Nifty Gainers: L&T closed the day with the highest gains on the index, up by 1.8%. HDFC, ONGC, Wipro and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the others that ended on a higher note.

Top Nifty Losers: JP Associates closed the day with the lowers on the index, down by 5.5%. Bank of Baroda, ITC, PNB and DLF were the others that ended lower. 

Among the sectoral indices most of the sectors close in the negative territory, FMGC was the top loser of today session down by 175. Bankex and Metals indices moved down by 149 points and 146 points respectively. Healthcare and IT indices also saw down move by 88 points and 31 points respectively. 

Mid-Caps and Small-Caps ended in red zone, both were down more than 30 points. However the sectors like Capitals Goods and Consumer Durables ended on positive note up by 87 points and 76 points respectively. 

The scenario remained unchanged for the Asian markets too. Nikkei ended higher by 307 points and Hang Seng index was up by 108 points. KOSPI and Straits time closed in the green zone up around 10 points each.

Buzzer: JP Associates the top loser of today’s session which slumped by 5.5%. It broke all the major support and closed below the technical level of Rs 45. If it sustains below this level may see more negative trade in next few days. 

Nifty Futures closed above 6100 level. May see down fall, if it opens below this level.
