Markets Recover At Closing Buzz

The Indian markets witnessed some recovery in the closing session. However, indices closed in the red zone. By end of the day the Nifty closed 2 points lower at 6057 and Sensex was down by 4 points to close at 20420. Both indices closed lower in the range of .02%-.03%
The Indian markets witnessed some recovery in the closing session. However, indices closed in the red zone. By end of the day the Nifty closed 2 points lower at 6057 and Sensex was down by 4 points to close at 20420. Both indices closed lower in the range of .02%-.03%.
The advance-decline ratio on the NSE was on the negative side, with 1507 shares closing in the green and 1756 shares in the red.
Top Nifty Gainers: Tata Motors closed higher by 2.3% in today’s trade, followed by BPCL, ITC, Grasim and Coal India.
Top Nifty Losers: JP Associates ended the day lower by 2.8%. It is followed by Power Grid Corp, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and DLF.
The sectoral indices closed on a mixed note. Auto Index ended up by 118 points, followed by Consumer Durables and FMCG indices which closed on a positive note up around 70 points each. Metals and Oil & Gas indices too ended in green zone. However, Healthcare and IT indices were down by 55 points and 45 points respectively. Bankex ended the day with nominal losses.
On the Asian front, Nikkei lost 103 points today followed by Hang Seng and Straits Times which ended with nominal losses. However Taiwan Weighted was up by 60 points.
Buzzer: BPCL is witnessing volatile trade in the last few trading session. The stock made an intraday high of Rs 330 and closed around the top level. If the scrip opens above this level in tomorrow’s session, it may reach at Rs 350 level.
Nifty Futures closed at major support level. The level of 6100 will be a bullish crossover for tomorrow’s session.
