Market Opens On a Flat Note

The Indian markets opened on flat note with low volumes. Today we also have December month F&O expiry session. Considering this the indices may see choppy and volatile trade on closing. The Nifty open with a positive bias of 13 points at 6282 and Sensex was up 38 points at 21070. Both indices opened up in the range of .18%-.21.

The advance-decline ratio is positive side in the morning session. On the NSE, 1949 shares are trading in gains and 1240 shares are down.

Top 5 Nifty Gainers: BPCL is the top NSE gainer so far, up by 2.90 % followed by ONGC, Tata Power, Sun Pharma and Bharti Airtel.

Top 5 Nifty Losers: Hero Motocorp is the top loser this morning, trading down by 1.4% followed by Bajaj Auto, DLF, Reliance and Power Grid Corp.

All the 13 sectoral indices are trading in the green zone. Capital Goods and Consumer Durables are top gainers trading in morning session up in the range of 70 points. Auto and Oil & Gas are also gainer the up by 46 points and 30 points. Bankex, IT, Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are trade in the positive note.  

On the global front, the Asian shares are trading on positive sentiment. Nikkei market up by 164 points. Straits Times and Taiwan index is on positive note. While The Hang Seng market closed for today’s session.

Buzzers: ONGC: The stock open in some positive sentiment. The stock hit high at Rs 293. It has broken stiff resistance on morning session at Rs 290 level. If it manages to break this level on a closing basis we will see more up move up to Rs 300 for further trading session.   

Nifty Futures is hovering around 6290 if its crosses 6300 may see more upward move.
