Indices Back In The Green

Following positive global cues, the Indian markets open on a positive note today. Sensex and Nifty are up by 0.2% in early morning trades. Sun Pharma is the top gainer in today’s morning session, nearly 2% up.
Following positive global cues, the Indian markets open on a positive note today. Sensex and Nifty are up by 0.2% in early morning trades. Nifty is trading up by 19 points at 6181 and Sensex is 61 points higher at 20754.
The advance-decline ratio is in positives this morning. On the NSE, 1745 shares are trading in gains and 1173 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: Sun Pharma is the top gainer in today’s morning session, trading higher by 1.92%. Other stocks seeing gains include Cairn India, Cipla, NMDC and Lupin.
Top Nifty Losers: Axis Bank is trading lower by 1.25%, followed by BHEL, Sesa Sterlite, Grasim and ITC.
11 out of the 13 indices are trading in the green. Healthcare has surged by 106 points this morning, Oil & Gas is up by 65 points and Auto has dropped by 42 points. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are up by 36 points and 49 points respectively.
The global markets are trading in positives this morning. Nikkei is trading up by 223 points and Hang Seng is 175 points higher. KOSPI and the Shanghai Composite were trading with nominal losses this morning.
Buzzers: Tata Motors’ stock is trading at its day high at Rs 369.25 as the retail sales of JLR-UK have grown 12% YoY to 4005 units.
Nifty Futures is trading above its support level of 6200, and is currently at the 6210 level.
