The Indian markets started on a positive note currently trading lower and failed to hold early gains.
The Indian markets started on a positive note currently trading lower and failed to hold early gains. The Nifty is trading on a flat negative note to trade at 6173 and the Sensex is trading at 20728.
The advance-decline ratio is the positive side at morning session today. On the NSE, 1652 shares are trading in gains and 1298 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: Sesa Sterlite is the top gainer for today’s morning session which is up by 3.08 %. It is followed by BPCL, Jindal Steel, NTPC and Dr Reddys Labs.
Top Nifty Losers: Jaiprakash Asso is the top loser for today’s morning session and is trading lower by 2.16 %. It is followed by Axis Bank, GAIL, IndusInd Bank and Hindalco.
On the sectoral front, sectors are trading on a mixed note. Metal index is the top gainer this morning which is trading higher by 111 points. It was followed by Healthcare and Oil & Gas indices, which were up by 52 points each. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are trading up by 5 points and 28 points each in this morning session.
On the global front Asian markets are giving out negative cues. Nikkei is down by 255 points. Hang Seng is down by 39 points. Shanghai Composite is trading with a nominal positive bias.
Buzzers: Financial Technologies jumped 6.40% and is currently trading at Rs 317.80 after striking a record high of Rs 328 in intraday trade. The stock is likely to hit the upper circuit for third day.
Nifty Future is trading in small range at 6186 level.
