Markets Open On A Flat Note

The first morning of the new week saw Indian markets opening on a slightly positive note. After witnessing an upswing in the opening trade the Nifty slipped down by 3 points at 6060 and Sensex was down by 15 points at 20360 levels.
The India markets opened with positive sentiment after tracking firm global cues and witnessing a volatile trade. At present Nifty is trading down by 3 points at 6060 and Sensex down by 15 points at 20360 levels.
The advance-decline ratio is on the positive side in the morning session. On the NSE, 1771 shares are trading in gains and 1428 shares are down.
Top Nifty Gainers: DLF is the top gainer for today’s morning session up by 4.42% followed by IDFC, Dr Reddy’s Labs, BHEL and Sun Pharma.
Top Nifty Losers: Bharti Airtel is the top loser for today’s morning session down by 1.84% followed by HUL, GAIL, HDFC Bank and NTPC.
On the sectoral front, 10 out of 13 sectors are trading on a positive note. Healthcare index is top gainer of the morning session up by 91 points. Consumer Durable index is up by 66 points. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps are trading in positive by nominal gain. Bankex index is down by 37 points.
On the global front, the Asian shares are trading on positive sentiment. The Nikkei market is top gainer for today’s morning session up by217 points. Taiwan index up by 25 points. The KOSPI and Hang Seng trade on some positive note.
Buzzers: DLF moved up by 6%, touching to Rs145.95 after company has announced that its 100% step down subsidiary DLF Global Hospitality (DGHL) has completed the sale of 100% equity stake in Silverlink Resorts (SRL) to Aman Resorts Group for an Enterprise Value of $358 million.
Nifty supports around 6050 – 6064 level and is currently trading around 6077.
