Market Dives, Bankex Top Loser

The Indian market opened on a negative note, with Bankex, Metals and Oil & Gas stocks trading in losses in the morning session. Nifty is down by 33 points at 6119 level and the BSE is down by 88 points to trade at 20635. The Indian rupee opened on a weaker note, lower by 18 paise at 62.38 per dollar.

The Indian markets are trading in the negative sentiment after witnessing uptrend earlier in the week led by profit booking. As a result, the indices tanked the Nifty down by 33 points at 6119 level and Sensex down by 88 points at 20635 levels. Both indices opened down in the range of 0.45%

The advance-decline ratio is on a negative side in the morning session. On the NSE, 1146 shares are trading in gains and 1268 shares are down.

Top Nifty Gainers: Bajaj Auto is the top gainer for today’s morning session, up by 2.16% followed by TCS, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Tata Motors and Sun Pharma. 

Top Nifty Losers: Bank of Baroda is the top loser for today’s morning session, down by 2.28%, followed by Tata Steel, IDFC, IndusInd Bank and Kotak Mahindra.

On the sectorial view, 10 out of the 13 sectors are trading in red. Bankex was the top loser trading in morning session down by 155 points. It was followed by Metals and Oil & Gas, which were down by 81 points and 36 points respectively. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps were also trading in negative bias down by 6 point and 1 point respectively. 

 On the global front, all the Asian shares are trading on negative sentiment. The Nikkei market is the top loser for today’s morning session down by 315 points. It is followed by the Hang Seng, down by 253 points. The KOSPI, Shanghai Composite and the Straits Times trade on some negative note. 

Buzzers:- Financial Technologies, gain almost 3.22% to trade at Rs 339.45.

Nifty is trading around the major support, which is around 6150 level. Below this level may see more down fall.
