India’s largest currency derivative exchange, BSE has launched USINR Weekly Futures & options (F&O). The derivative exchange registered a daily average turnover of approximately Rs. 2130 crore in USINR Weekly Futures & options on the third day of its launch.

Traders can place their orders for these contracts between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on weekdays. A total of 11 weekly expiry contracts, excluding the expiry week of the monthly contract will be available for trade. The final settlement price of the contracts shall be calculated by referring to the RBI's rate for USD-INR on the last trading day, that is, every Friday.

This trading option will provide market participants with an effective instrument to hedge their foreign currency exposures.
