The buildings and factories business of Larsen and Toubro secured an order of Rs. 3,036 crore from the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BAIL) to build Terminal-2 of the Kempegowda International Airport.
The buildings and factories business of Larsen and Toubro secured an order of Rs. 3,036 crore from the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BAIL) to build Terminal-2 of the Kempegowda International Airport.
L&T will be engaged in the designing, engineering, procurement construction, testing and commissioning of Terminal-2. Additionally, it will be responsible for the integration of services and utilities along with the airport’s systems, support facilities and buildings.
Upon completion, phase 1 of Terminal-2, which spans 2,55,000 square metres will enhance the capacity of the airport by 25 million passengers per annum.
L&T is already working on a number of projects at the Bengaluru Airport namely construction of the New South Parallel Runway (NSPR), apron and other auxiliary buildings.
On Wednesday, the shares of L&T opened at Rs. 1,247.00 per share, and hit a high and low of Rs. 1,250.00 per share and Rs. 1,227.55 per share, respectively. At 12:26 pm, the stock was trading at Rs. 1,246.85 per share, down 0.05 per cent.
