Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.51 per cent at 80,335 and the Nifty-50 down 0.58 per cent at 24,274. About 1,349 shares have advanced, 2,548 shares have declined and 135 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 1.90 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1.05 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Crisil Ltd, Inventurus Knowledge Solutions Ltd and Cofroge Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Transpek Industry Ltd, Shankara Building Products Ltd and Grindwell Norton Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE IT Index and BSE Focused IT Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Realty Index and BSE Oil & Gas Index were the Top Losers.

As of May 08, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.18 lakh crore or USD 4.93 trillion. On the same day, 67 stocks hit a 52-week high while 70 stocks touched a 52-week low.
