Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.87 per cent at 80,081 and the Nifty-50 down 0.85 per cent at 24,501. About 1,458 shares have advanced, 2,651 shares have declined and 149 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 1.09 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.96 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Endurance Technologies Ltd, Ola Electric Mobility Ltd, Honeywell Automation India Ltd and Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Vardhman Textiles Ltd, Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, Sangam (India) Ltd and Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the red with the BSE Services Index, BSE Teck Index, BSE IT Index, BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Focused IT Ind, plunged over 1.5 per cent each.

As of August 28, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 445 lakh crore or USD 5.08 trillion. On the same day, 102 stocks hit a 52-week high while 141 stocks touched a 52-week low.
