Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.49 per cent at 82,172 and the Nifty-50 up 0.54 per cent at 25,182. About 2,099 shares have advanced, 2,080 shares have declined and 171 shares were unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.75 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.18 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Jindal Photo Ltd, G M Breweries Ltd, Spicejet Ltd and Eco Recycling Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the green with the BSE Commodities Index, BSE Metals Index, BSE Focused IT Index and BSE IT Index, jumping over 2 per cent each.

As of October 09, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 460 lakh crore or USD 5.18 trillion. On the same day, 155 stocks hit a 52-week high while 149 stocks touched a 52-week low.
