Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 08

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positively on Friday, with the Sensex up 0.44 per cent at 69,825.60 and the Nifty-50 up 0.33 per cent at 20,969. About 1,749 shares have advanced, 2,002 have declined and 129 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 68,893.8 and NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,006.10 on December 08, 2023.

The broader markets were in negative territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.16 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.44 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd, Macrotech Developers and Power Finance Corporation Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Spencer Retail Ltd, Patel Engineering Ltd and Alok Industries Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Information Technology Index being one of the Top Gainers whereas the BSE Telecommunication Index being one of the Top Losers.

The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,49,30,832 crore or approx. Rs 349 lakh crore as of December 08, 2023. On the same day, 358 stocks hit a 52-week high while 19 stocks touched a 52-week low.
