Spurt in volumes!

On Wednesday, in BSE’s equity segment, a number of shares were trending due to a spurt in their volumes.  

Sundaram Finance, Tube Investments of India, Elgi Equipments, Wabco India, Apollo Hospitals, Marico, etc. are among others to witness a surge in volume.   

Wabco India witnessed a volume of 0.07 lakh shares, which is a surge of 31.56 times the two-week daily average volume. The shares of Wabco India zoomed by around 11.41 per cent at around lunchtime on Wednesday.  

BASF saw a volume of 0.24 lakh shares, a 6.23-fold spurt over the two-week daily average volume of 0.04 lakh shares. The scrip was up by 8.59 per cent.  

On the other hand, Tube Investments of India saw a volume of 5.20 lakh shares, a 45.92-fold spurt over the two-week daily average volume of 0.11 lakh shares. The scrip was down by 3.96 per cent on Wednesday.  

Sundaram Finance recorded a volume of 0.95 lakh shares, a 54.98 times surge over a two-week average daily volume of 0.02 lakh shares.   

Elgi Equipments reported volume of 13.78 lakh shares, a surge by 36.93 times the two-week daily average volume of 0.37 lakh shares.   

Voltas saw a volume of 5.03 lakh shares, a 4.68-fold spurt over the two-week daily average volume of 1.08 lakh shares. The scrip was trading down by around 2.95 per cent.
