Phantom Digital Effects Limited (PhantomFX), a leading visual effects (VFX) studio headquartered in Chennai, has announced the launch of a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) to raise up to Rs 60 crore. Incorporated on February 2, 2016, PhantomFX has built a strong portfolio of end-to-end creative VFX services for films, web series, and commercials, catering to both Indian and international markets.
The board of PhantomFX has approved the opening of the QIP issue with a floor price of Rs 268.85 per equity share. On July 7, 2025, the company’s stock closed at Rs 299.65 on the NSE. As per SEBI guidelines, the company may offer a discount of not more than 5 per cent on the floor price. The final issue price will be decided in consultation with the Book Running Lead Manager (BRLM), GYR Capital Advisors Private Limited.

The funds raised through the QIP will primarily be used to meet the company’s working capital requirements and to support its expansion strategy amid rapid business growth. PhantomFX has recently extended its global presence with operational hubs established in the USA, Canada, UK, China, and Dubai. A significant strategic milestone was achieved with the acquisition of Tippett Studio, a renowned Oscar-winning VFX company based in Berkeley, San Francisco.
PhantomFX reported impressive financial performance in FY25, posting revenue of Rs 102.16 crore, a substantial increase from Rs 57.89 crore in FY23. The company also reported a net profit (PAT) of Rs 20.20 crore, with a PAT margin of 19.77 per cent. Return on equity (ROE) stood at 13.05 per cent and return on capital employed (ROCE) at 15.54 per cent, reflecting strong operational efficiency.
With 50,000 sq. ft. of operational space across secure IT park facilities in India and a team of over 650 skilled artists, PhantomFX leverages in-house project management tools to maintain high productivity. The company has received industry recognition, including VAM Awards for Best VFX Supervisor and Best Motion Capture. It also became the first Indian studio to create a fully VFX-driven alien character in the film "Ayalaan."
PhantomFX, currently classified under the small-cap segment, has attracted investor interest amid its robust fundamentals and global ambitions.
