Hi-Tech Pipes Commences Commercial Production at Kathua, Jammu; Strengthens Presence in Northern Markets

Hi-Tech Pipes Limited has officially commenced commercial production at its new Greenfield manufacturing facility in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir. This state-of-the-art plant features an annual capacity of 80,000 tonnes and is equipped with advanced automation and quality-control systems to produce ERW steel pipes and various value-added steel products. With this addition, the company is now on the verge of reaching a total installed capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), solidifying its status as one of India's fastest-growing steel tube manufacturers.

The Kathua unit is strategically positioned to provide significant logistical advantages, ensuring cost-effective distribution to key markets in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. By establishing a local presence, Hi-Tech Pipes is well-equipped to meet the rising demand for steel products in sectors such as infrastructure, water distribution, and industrial engineering. This expansion allows the company to capitalise on regional development projects while optimising its supply chain across Northern India.

This commissioning aligns with the company's long-term strategy to increase its share of value-added products, which is expected to improve realisations and EBITDA per tonne. The facility is projected to contribute meaningfully to company volumes starting from mid-Q4FY26.
