Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen in These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in green on Monday with the Sensex down 0.38 per cent at 85,440 and the Nifty-50 down 0.30 per cent at 26,250. About 1,723 shares have advanced, 2,544 shares have declined and 203 shares have been unchanged on the BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 86,056 on November 27, 2025 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,373.20 on January 05, 2026.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.05per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.07 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were SJVN Ltd, Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd, J K Cements Ltd and Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were CSB Bank Ltd, Algoquant Fintech Ltd, M M Forgings Ltd and Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were traded mixed with the BSE Realty Index and BSE Consumer Durables Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Focused IT Index and BSE IT Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 05, 2026, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 480 lakh crore or USD 5.32 trillion. On the same day, 220 stocks hit a 52-week high while 143 stocks touched a 52-week low.
