Empower India Limited has announced plans to enter robotics, artificial intelligence implementation, system integration and enterprise automation through an asset-light, partnership-led business model.
The company said on October 12 that it intends to operate as a robotics and AI implementation partner, helping enterprises deploy third-party technologies within their existing operational environments. Its proposed role will centre on implementation, integration, customisation, deployment, maintenance and technology support, rather than manufacturing robotics hardware or developing proprietary AI platforms.
The move could represent a strategic broadening for Empower India, whose FY26 consolidated revenue from operations was entirely classified as trading revenue. The company reported consolidated revenue of Rs 153.37 crore for the year ended March 31, 2026, up 23.8 per cent from Rs 123.89 crore in the previous year. Consolidated profit after Tax rose to Rs 18.01 crore from Rs 5.22 crore.
Under the proposed model, Empower India plans to partner with specialist AI developers, robotics manufacturers, automation providers, software companies and cloud technology businesses. It would focus on bringing their products into client environments by linking them with enterprise resource planning systems, customer relationship management platforms, databases, cloud systems, sensors, machines and other operational workflows.
This addresses a practical constraint in enterprise technology adoption. AI models and robotic systems often require application programming interfaces, infrastructure configuration, real-time data handling, testing and continuing optimisation before they can be used at scale. Empower India said it aims to build integration layers and digital interfaces that connect AI applications, physical equipment and enterprise software.
Managing Director Rajesh Chavan said the opportunity was not limited to developing technology. ‘A significant requirement exists in helping businesses successfully implement and integrate these technologies into their existing operations,’ he said, adding that the company intends to combine partner technologies with its implementation, integration and infrastructure capabilities.
The company cited projections that India’s AI market could reach USD 43.5 billion by 2030, expanding at a 32 per cent compound annual growth rate between 2025 and 2030. India’s intelligent robotics market is projected to grow from USD 450.5 million in 2025 to USD 1.68 billion by 2030, according to the company’s announcement.
However, the plan remains at a proposal stage. Empower India has not named technology partners, disclosed customer contracts, investments, revenue targets or a timeline for commercial rollout. Revenue opportunities will depend on future agreements and could include implementation fees, integration charges, customisation, maintenance and support income.
The execution requirement is notable given the company’s FY26 working-capital position. Consolidated operating cash flow was negative Rs 35.87 crore during the year, as trade receivables and inventories increased. Current borrowings rose to Rs 36.10 crore as of March 31, 2026, while cash and cash equivalents declined to Rs 8.44 crore. Although the announced model is asset-light, enterprise deployments could still require spending on technical capability, project execution and customer support before recurring service revenue is established.
As of 3.52 p.m. on October 12, 2026, Empower India shares were trading at Rs 1.94, up 1.04 per cent from the previous close of Rs 1.92. The stock was 31.4 per cent below its 52-week high of Rs 2.83 and had declined 22.58 per cent over one year, compared with a 6.29 per cent fall in the BSE 500 over the same period. The company’s market capitalisation stood at Rs 223.45 crore.
