BSE Healthcare index opens on a healthy note

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries contributing majorly to the index gains and trading up by 2.10% at Rs 493 per share, the S&P BSE Healthcare index opened on a positive note on Monday.
With Sun Pharmaceutical Industries contributing majorly to the index gains and trading up by 2.10% at Rs 493 per share, the S&P BSE Healthcare index opened on a positive note on Monday. BSE Healthcare was trading up by 1.18% at 13,382 on the BSE at 0947 hours. Among others, Lupin, Piramal Enterprises, Divi’s Laboratories, Cipla and Aurobindo Pharma were contributing more than 10 points to the gains of the Healthcare index.
Shilpa Medicare was the top gainer, trading up by 5.37% at Rs 595 per share. Merck was trading higher by 3.205% at Rs 1,209 per share. Divi’s Laboratories was trading higher by 3.02% at Rs 693 per share. Among others, Marksans Pharma was trading up by 3% at Rs 39 per share, Orchid Pharma was trading up by 2.97% at Rs 20 per share, Hester Biosciences was soaring by 2.905% at Rs 907 and IPCAL Laboratories was up by 2.27% at Rs 423 per share.
On the other hand, Themis Medicare was the top loser in the index, trading down by 4.98% at Rs 445 per share. Among others, Bliss GVS Pharma was trading lower by 1.92% at Rs 168 per share, Thyrocare Technologies was down by 1.70% at Rs 691 per share, and Sparc was lower by 1.47% at Rs 386 per share.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index Sensex was trading up by 155 points at the 31,751 levels. Nifty was trading higher by 51 points at the 9,908 levels.
