AFCOM Holdings Ltd has achieved a major strategic milestone by entering into a long-term partnership with the Nauru Air Corporation, the national carrier of the Republic of Nauru. The agreement marks AFCOM’s formal entry into the Australian and Pacific regional cargo markets and opens new Trans Continental Pacific routes for the company’s expanding Logistics network.
The business agreement, signed on 05 December 2025 at the High Commission of the Republic of Nauru in New Delhi, brings together senior leadership from both organizations. Key representatives from Nauru included Hon’ble Minister Asterio Appi, Mr. Charleston Deiye (Chairman, Nauru Airlines), Mr. Geoff Bowmaker (Vice Chairman, Nauru Airlines), and Mr. Manish Sundarjee (Consultant, Nauru Air Corporation). AFCOM Holdings was represented by Capt. Deepak Parasuraman (Chairman & Managing Director) and Mr. Kannan Ramakrishnan (Whole-Time Director).
The six-year partnership is expected to strengthen cooperation between the entities and support AFCOM’s expansion beyond its traditional equipment-leasing operations. The agreement allows both parties to explore code-sharing arrangements, asset cross-utilisation, and deeper commercial collaborations. With direct access to Trans Continental Australia and Pacific region markets, AFCOM aims to build seamless gateways for bilateral cargo movement.
This collaboration also aligns with the growing demand for efficient trade corridors across Oceania. By leveraging Nauru’s strategic location in the Pacific, AFCOM and Nauru Air Corporation intend to establish a more resilient and agile cargo network. The partnership is expected to enhance connectivity with major Asian markets, especially India, while supporting regional integration and improved access to global supply chains.
During the signing, Hon’ble Asterio Appi highlighted Nauru Airlines’ current fleet of seven Boeing 737 aircraft and its aim to expand its operational footprint. He emphasized that the partnership with AFCOM positions the airline to capture new commercial opportunities across the region. The Nauru delegation noted AFCOM’s reliability, agility, and customer-centric approach as core strengths that encouraged the collaboration. Both organisations will continue to evaluate additional business avenues, including leasing initiatives and joint commercial programs, to enhance cargo capabilities across the Pacific and Australian markets.
