Hero MotoCorp has launched its VIDA electric vehicle brand in Nepal through a partnership with CG Motors, marking the brand's first international market entry.
On Monday, Indian equity benchmark indices traded higher, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index rising 149.85 points, or 0.63 per cent, to 23,917.30. Amid the positive market sentiment, Hero MotoCorp share price gained 1.42 per cent to Rs 5,082.50 after the company announced the global debut of its VIDA electric mobility brand with its entry into the Nepal market.

Hero MotoCorp announced the launch of its electric mobility brand VIDA in Nepal, marking the brand's first international market entry and the beginning of its global operations. The company has entered the Nepalese market through a distributor partnership with CG Motors (Chaudhary Group), one of Nepal's leading business groups with a global presence across more than 160 companies and 123 brands.
As part of the launch, Hero MotoCorp introduced the VIDA VX2 EVOOTER range and the VIDA DIRT.E K3 electric youth off-roader. The VX2 portfolio includes the VX2 Plus and VX2 Go variants, while the DIRT.E K3 is designed to offer an all-electric off-road riding experience for younger riders. Both scooters feature removable battery technology, connected features, navigation, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and home charging compatibility.
Focus on Electric Mobility
According to the company, the VIDA VX2 Plus offers a 140 km real-world range, a top speed of 90 km/h, and supports DC fast charging from 0–80 per cent in 65 minutes. Meanwhile, the VX2 Go delivers a 75 km real-world range, a top speed of 70 km/h, and also supports DC fast charging. The VIDA DIRT.E K3 is powered by a 350W motor paired with a 360Wh removable battery and has received both the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and the CES Innovation Award 2026.
Hero MotoCorp stated that it has been present in Nepal since 2014, and the launch of the VIDA range marks the next phase of its strategy to deliver smart and sustainable electric mobility solutions in the country.
